We are heading out of town to go visit Amy's grandparents near Hemingford, NE. They don't have internet out there so I won't be posting for a few days. I have two runs planned when we're out there, a 2 mile fartlek and a 3.5 mile run. I'll also be sure to wear sunscreen when I'm working out there this weekend.

I'm from Scottsbluff, NE - it will be interesting to see if you feel any elevation-related fatigue up there as the Scottsbluff area is around 4000 ft. I'm sure Hemingford is roughly the same. At least you will have the trails/roads to yourself. And yes, bring some sunscreen! Enjoy a break from that humidity in Eastern Nebraska!
I only got in one run out there, a 2 mile fartlek. I haven't really figured out how to do fartleks without killing myself so it's hard to say if the elevation made a difference. I'll keep it in mind next time I'm out there though.
